This fellow was in for a recent check and is pleased with the results improving his hairline. We harvested a 16cm strip, closed with a trichophytic 2 layer closure and using true folliular units, placed just over 1500 grafts which had been microscopically dissected.

Am I missing something here ? How can anyone tell the results with his hair combed forward ?
If you look at the last two or three slides, it shows the hair parted on the sides. With the hairline exposed, it's a very nice result. I was thinking "that's the worst hairstyle ever..." until there at the end.

I wish he would have went for about 3,000 but maybe there was money issues, or he didn't want such a dramatic and sudden change. But, the work looks great.

Excellent comments on quality of pictures fellows. As many of you know I have only been posting since January and my proficency has greatly improved. Almost all of my 8 month and older pictures were saved as .bmp's and converting them to jpegs for posting loses resolution in my hands. In fact, I posted a case last week that I didn't realize I hadn't changed from .bmp's to jpegs and noone could see the pictures. Chalk it up to me getting more comfortable with posting. Anyhow, I think that most of my pictures that I have posted showing "fresh" cases, not older cases now growing in, show pretty sharp and crisp photography.

But until I start posting cases "growing in" that were done really after Jan 1, 2008; the older pictures in particular are going to not be as sharp.

If you truely want to show the hairline it needs to be combed straight back. The issue I have has nothing to do with your photo quality it's that in the majority of the pictures his hair is combed forward and not one of the has a full face shot dead on with his hair combed back.

While your patient may like his hair styled forward it does nothing as far as telling us the density and naturalness of the hairline.
You'd better check with Jupiter on that, as he took Dr. Feller to task for posting photos with the front hair pulled back.....

Dr. Lindsey,

I too noticed that the last couple of photo albums lacked the higher photo quality that we are used to seeing in some of your more recent cases. so it's obvious your photography skills have improved. But I do appreciate you showing us some of your previous cases even if your photography skills weren't up to speed .

I agree that if the hair was combed back, the results would be a bit more compelling however, I think the improvement is clear when you look at all the pictures. After all, his hair is combed down in his "before" pictures too.

Keep up the good work!

Best wishes,

Bill

More photos to come Bill. Interesting comments on hairstyle. This fellow likes the Caesar style and says it works for him.
