Are you visiting Dr. Tykocinski?

If you are can you let us know how large your session is and why the approach is designed the way it is?

We get so little information on some of these Docs sometimes it really causes me some concern.

Anyway, smooth sailing and Good Luck!!!!

Customs, If you're smart you'll go to the doctor mentioned by B Spot. He has to be the best doctor down there if he's in the coalition.

Is he as good as the American coalition doctors? I've no idea, but theoretically it should mean that he's using the latest techniques, and thats key.

Also, although I'm no real judge, it sees to me that you've enough donor hair, and enough hair on your head to make a good go of it.

Dump the rug buddy, you'll be glad you did.

i've been to brazil a couple of times, loved it.

cheers,
mark

Hello Customs and welcome to the forums,

What concerns me about your last post is that it seems you are "settling" for a doctor that you don't know anything about, especially since you are asking if anyone still uses plugs. Take a look at the below link...this surgery was done somewhat recently and it is obvious that the latest techniques are not applied. It is extremely important that you are very educated about HTs if you are not going to a coalition doc. You should know everything from how the process works to the diameter of the blade being used on your head to place the grafts. The results below aren't terrible...but this is attributed to the fact that he has a decent amount of native hair left. If he loses his native hair in the front, he's going to left with a very pluggy look. Not to mention that at 3 months, there are still holes from the blades still noticable in his head that he confesses to having to cover up. You run a big risk by going to a non-coalition doc. I'm not saying there aren't good docs out there that aren't coalition docs....I'm only saying that you better know your stuff before you take the plunge. Otherwise, you'll be wishing you never took that rug off your head! I don't mean to sound so alarming...but it's important you see it like it is...it's for your own benefit.

Bill

Another link for your reference from a dissatisfied customer who went to a non-coalition doc. Am I trying to scare you? Maybe a little. But I'm doing it for your benefit!

Customs....hope your no-name doc will do a good job, and you'll end up looking like a discount kewpie doll.

If you learn enough here, you might be able to vet the doctor you want to see, but the odds of him doing a good job and knowing the cutting edge techniques available today without being on anyone's radar is so small, you're better off taking your money to a casino....

My recommendation: go to a coalition doctor, or put your money on 17 black.

Ask what size instruments he uses to make incisions, and how dense he can put grafts into a square cm. Also ask him what kind of closure he does.

thats just a start, but get answers and compare to coalitino docs.
