Great work Dr Feller,
I like the hairline and the age appropriate plan. Very natural. Any donor left for this fellow or plans for more?? A little more density in the central core and a bit in the crown would finish him up nicely. Irregardless, the work stands on its own even if no future work is done. |

Dr. Feller,
For 4100 grafts spread out over a larger area, the results look terrific! It appears that this patient has nice thick hair characteristics that helps promote a greater illusion of density. Additionally, do you have any pictures of this patient taken without a flash? I find that a combination of flash and non-flash pictures help put together a more realistic picture of a patient's result. Does this patient have any thoughts about further work to add density? Thanks for posting! Bill

Thank you for the comments.
No buzz- Yes he came in today to discuss filling in the crown and flatten the hairline a bit Bill-All the photos taken with a blue background are without flash. I think I only used one photo with a flash because I forgot to shoot him at that angle in my photo room where I use bright photography lights and no flash. I'll put up his operation photos and his 6 month post op photos tomorrow.

Dr. Feller,
Thank you for the clarification on the use of flash in your photos. I also think the 6 month pictures you added is living proof that there is a lot more growth to come at only 6 months. I know many patients think they are close to done by this point and feel discouraged by their lack of results. To me, this is why I really like when doctors and patients alike post progress pictures as it gives a true picture of the hair transplant experience. Thanks for posting! Bill

Looks good.
From the profile, I think this is a case where a little crownwork woudl go a long way. When I see the profile, knowing what I know about HT's, I suspect HT because of how far the "u" goes down in the crown. To me, with that degree of loss in the crown, it doesn't quite look right having that amount of hair on top.............just an honest opinion. If I were him, I think I'd fill in the lower part of the "u" then work strategically around the rest of the crown...........maybe a little more work in front if he has the grafts. The quality of work and coverage per # of grafts looks great!

Bill,
Most patients don't bother visiting until about 9 months, so when I get someone who will visit sooner I like to post their progress.Fortunately hairspark was able to visit at 6 mos and allow a photo or two. I agree that it is helpful for people to see the massive difference in growth between 6 months and 1 year. Most patients believe they are about as grown as they will get by 6 months, but I think hairspark proves this is not the case and so they shouldn't lose heart. Hairbank, I'm not sure I know what you're getting at, but rest assured we are going to fill the crown next.
