After eight months post-op from his second procedure, this patient has a total of 6918 grafts from Dr. Wong. Uber small scar, Uber awesome results. Comb through, hairline, scar, it's all here. Look for his testimonial video to be up later on today as well.

Looks great Joe. I really like the video technology! Reveals much more than the photos show!

Bill,
Thanks. We're pretty excited about the new media player and the way it is streaming. It seems to be working well. We have a lot more video coming. In fact, I'm shooting two more (at least) tomorrow and I have a few more hopefully next week.

Lately I`ve been doing more research on HT`s.
It looks to me like they`ve made some leaps and bounds since I first looked into it 12 years ago. Back then, they wanted to do scalp reductions then transplants. From what I understand now, that likely would have turned out unfavorably but thats just going by what I`m told by guys in the forums. Guess we`ll never really know since I didnt go through with it. If I knew I could get results like these guys for 20 grand I`d do it. |

if you go with a recd doctor you are virtually guaranteed good and undetectable results. Of course it depends how much donor you have, but most still can get enough hair to avoid the "he's bald" looks.
Usually most doctors will post their best case scenarios so be aware of that; what works for one might not work for the other. I think people are caught up in looking like they're 22 years old for the rest of ther life. Look around or on TV, having thiner hair and a high hairline is not that bad when you hit 50+. At a certain age, who cares if you have a mature hairline? After all, you're trying to replace 25,000+ lost grafts with some 5-7k ones...the math doesn't up so you have to create an illusion. Quote:

I`m sure I`d be one of the luckier ones. If you seen the hairline and density of the hairpieces I`ve been using, you`d see that I use quite a recessed hairline with little or no temple hairs.
In my quest for a less noticeable hairpiece, I always ordered mine to make me look more like my age, rather than when I was younger. And I`m accustomed to it. Judging by what I`ve been seeing in others so far, I have plenty of donor hair to completely replace what I`ve been using for a hairpiece. I think I`m going to look around some more. Where can I find some recd doctors, here in the coalition? |

Michigan,
It might be worth doing some consults. I have really only been researching (and indulging in) HTs for 2 years, but from what I've ready about HT history, things have evolved greatly, I'd say, even in the last 2 years, session sizes have gotten bigger, scars have been minimized and better camoflauged with the new tricho scar, etc. There are many great doctors on the coalition, but for your particular case, I'd recommend Dr. Hasson or Dr. Wong...especially because they are famously known for being able to extract a large donor area, a great number of grafts, yield excellent results, and still create a minimal scar. As John_In_NC said very wisely above...25000 grafts are being replaced with 7K-8K grafts...so a lot of it is about how the grafts are placed with the illusion of density. But the top doctors have been known to do this extremely well. Hope all is well! Bill As per our previous discussion, there are pros and cons to HTS just like there are hair pieces. At your level of loss, you will most likely be able to create an illusion of some good density in the front, with less density in the back, however, it will never be as dense as it was in high school, even if you do choose (and wisely) a more receeded hairline.
