This patient looks great, especially with only 1863 grafts in a relatively large balding area. I'm envious of the density in his crown!

Is this patient doing anything to attempt to control future hair loss? How old is this patient? If he loses more hair, what's his long term game plan?

Glad you like it and yeah, I'm envious too. He has good caliber hair for a plant like this. I'm impressed with the time for growth myself.

The patient is 35. He came in for a consultation four years ago and was on the fence about surgery but more than anything just wanted to keep the loss from getting worse. We prescribed Fin and four years later he said that he had stabilization and even some regrowth in the crown. Since he had some success with meds he wanted to explore reversing the loss surgically which obviously worked out. He's staying on the meds to stem the need for more surgery in the future but if he needs any more he's got plenty of hair to spare.

That's great news. I'm pleased to hear that he's been on finasteride and that it has stabilized his hair loss. Hopefully with continued use of the medication, he'll be a one time and done patient. Of course, even if not, he has plenty available in reserve for future work!
