Just a thought. I noticed that grafts were actually placed pretty far outside of the zone that was drawn at pre-surgery. How often does this happen? Was there reasoning that would cause the surgeon to elect to change the game plan?

NN,
The grafts were not placed outside the lines. If you look at the top views the edges of the transplant land right on them perfectly. If we do go outside the lines, it's usually because the surgeon has extra grafts and overruns the original target. This is usually a very good thing. Dr F

Now I understand. Yes, a few grafts were placed beyond the line into the crown.
The line does not demarc the maximum area to be filled, but the minimal area that we desire to fill. If we can go over the mark, so much the better.
