Thanks for posting Dr. Shapiro. The results do look excellent. Appreciate you responding to our requests. Funny thing--I know one of the guys posted and had no idea that he had a HT until now. That says a lot for your work. Now he'll wonder why I'm always staring at his head. LOL

Dr. P Shapiro...
Thank you for sharing these patient photos with us. The results appear to be very natural with good density overall. I am sure all these patients were more than happy with their results. If possible when posting a patient with multiple procedures could you also document photos noting the results of the previous transplant also with graft counts. This would give us a better feel of the progression of work accomplished. On average what type of density do you strive for? Do you differentiate between various areas of the scalp, i.e. higher densities in certain areas.

Dr. Paul,
Thanks for taking the time to share your work with us. One thing I really like about your photos (besides that it's obvious that your work is quality) is that the lighting and angling of the photos appears to be very similar in the before and the after. There are no lighting or angling tricks giving any illusion of density....what you see is what you get. I look forward to seeing and reading more of your posts. Cousin_It, "On average what type of density do you strive for? Do you differentiate between various areas of the scalp, i.e. higher densities in certain areas." I look forward to hearing Dr. Paul's response on that...but I know that these question will probably be difficult to answer because it will depend on the individuals 1. level of hairloss 2. available donor hair 3. individual goals Of course, I know you are aware of all these things Bill

Dr. Paul-
Thanks for posting such detailed pics to review. I have been, and continue to be, impressed by your work and thought the quality of your work as evidenced by the pics was great. I look forward to seeing more of the excellent quality of work that you're producing.

Bill...
Thank you for pointing out these variables. I am aware of these plus a number of other variables which can ultimately influence the density issue. Barring extreme conditions there should be a pattern of density that the surgeon should seek to achieve. Simply having the ability to insert follicles does not qualify a doctor to be a good transplant surgeon. I am just trying to ascertain what "goals" Dr.Shapiro attempts to achieve in hair transplantation concerning this issue.

I want to thank Dr. Paul Shapiro for responding to this community's request for photos of his patient results.
I think his patient results are some of the most impressive results I've ever seen. The naturalness and density of his work looks excellent in my opinion. The immediate post op photos also show how ultra refined and minimally invasive his procedure is. However, I would appreciate it if Dr. Paul Shapiro would also include not just the graft counts but the hair counts in this and future photo albums. I look forward to seeing many more impressive examples of Dr. Paul Shapiro's work in the future. Pat

Dr. Shapiro,
Excellent work! Thank you for sharing it. The one that especially jumps out at me is the 1856-graft guy (reddish hair, blue t-shirt in "after" shot). Not only utterly natural looking, but a great result for "only" 1856 grafts! Of course, the "only" is relative, but still... Bravo! Benjamin |

Dr. Paul---- Thank you for posting some of your patient photos.
I know you are unable to post every patient, but these various patients are a great start. It was certainly educational to sit down and speak with you and talk about your philosophy/approach and to see some additional patient photos as well. Thank you for allowing me to sneak in and see a live surgery as well. From what I saw, the patient is going to be ecstatic in the coming months. Anyway, thanks for re-affirming my faith in you and sharing your work with the other members of our community.
