Patient with Diffused thinning wanted to stay somewhat conservative, keep native hairs uncut for surgery. He also wanted to try meds as well.
Surgery Data: - Strip measurement: 22cm long x 1cm wide - 2238gr/5407 hairs

1's-337 - 337 hairs

2 's-1042 = 2084 hairs

3's-637 = 1911 hairs

4's-147 = 588 hairs

*DFU's - 75 = 487 hairs (dense groupings, which yielded 6-8 hairs)

*Double Follic. Units - two follicular unit families purposely kept together to yield greater density at center section of head - they are rectangular, flat in shape.

Really sweet looking result; hairline really suits him, and like Chucky noted, incredibly natural-looking. I am sure he has plenty left in the tank, as well, if he wanted a future procedure(s).

One question: how many grafts-worth of hair would you estimate he had pre-op in the areas diffusely thinned that got worked in? It looks to me like without the remaining hair he would be a full fledged NW6 (?).

that is a tremendous difference, especially with such a relatively small # of grafts.
this is also a great example of a diffused thinner, we need more of 'em. Gives me a lot of hope that I could achieve great density as it appears that the native hair really helped out.

..."how many grafts-worth of hair would you estimate he had pre-op in the areas diffusely thinned that got worked in?"---than
I too would like to hear a response to this. As a diffused thinner I would like to get my density per cm2 measured so I could know what to expect if I lower my hairline. It is often said that these numbers are omitted because the end result is so relative to each individual; but for a diffused thinner such as myself who would like a measurement of MY OWN native hair, it could prove to be a very accurate estimate.

Definitely a difference but i wish the pre op had the same hair style. With it down like that, its hard to really gauge where the patient was at before.
