i know the cost will vary, but i was wondering if anyone knew the average cost for a transplant of about 400 to 500 grafts?

Most docs charge between 4-5 dollars a graft. Usually the lower the # of grafts the more expensive the individual graft is .

hm... im not really sure what the difference between the two is. i havent been researching very long.

Sounds like you've been quoted for 'mini-grafts'. If so, don't do it. Post some pics of your head and you'll get an estimate.

Who quoted you 500 grafts?

Given your level of recession, I can hardly imagine you would see much a benefit.

I would continue to ask questions before committing to any surgery.

I would send those pics to Shapiro, Feller, and Alexander to get their opinion. If you're 30 or so, I'd go for about 2000 at about $8k or so.

I'm 22 right now. My hair isnt really thinning, i've had a "balding" hairline for as long as i can remember and i'm really self conscious about it.
