This very nice man visited from the United Kingdom for repair of old style plug work he had performed when he had more of his original hair.
Since then he's lost almost all of his native hair and the poor planning and quality of his old work has become readily apparent to even the casual glance.
He had become disheartened when he was told that there was not much that could be done for him because of the scars in the back of his head, the large amount of bald area in the front, and the dense and seamingly inconcealable concentration of plugs on the left side of his hairline.

Lucky for him though, he had some rather dense areas of donor area and a flexible skin. We were able to extract 3000 grafts and packed them in such a way as to maximize results.

We packed out the left side infront of, around, and behind the old plugs to blend them in. Then we proceded to connect the left side to his temple which had receeded considerably in the past 15 years leaving a gap. Finally, we distributed the rest of the hair over his right side to provide balance, symmetry, and hairs into which the hairs from the left side could be combed to the right.
His final style would be the ability to comb his hair from left to right and backward.

Here are his preop and immediate post op photos. We will update with photos as he sends them to us from England.

I'd like to see what his scar(s) looked like. Have you ever considered taking grafts from body areas? I'm most interested in armpit hair because it grows thicker and longer than most other body hair (at least on me) and there wouldn't be any showing scars. This guy looks like he would be a good candidate for something like that to fill in behind the frontal area that you already transplanted.
