Patient mid 50's with quite extensive loss.Donor hair not great and he has realistic expectations. His aim was simply to reframe the face.Updated pictures will be added in the next week or so to indicate the early stage progress. These were the pictures that the patient was happy to show.

Thanks Mick. How many grafts would have been required to fill in the temple areas?

Bash,
We were aiming for around 2750+ but were unable to achieve this.He will be having a further session later in the year where we will extend further back and maybe tweak the front. It would have needed a fair bit more to do what you say.Unfortunately in cases like this there has to be a compromise.Patients like this are not uncommon and we all have to really consider this before jumping on the surgery bandwagon. One poster on here , i think it may have been imissthebarber really summed this point up well. All my family are norwood 6 and i dont want to do surgery yet.Brilliant thinking to my mind.I wish every young patient thought things through as well as him.Sorry if i got the quote a bit wrong but the actual point is very valid.

Looks nice and clean Mick - he will be in for a nice result. Any reason one side is higher than the other - does the patient intend to comb from left to right?

The patients left hand side shows it to be higher that the right and i wondered if this was down to the design as often patients want a style incorporated and i wouldn't be suprised if this was his.

Mick,

Do you have some additional postoperative photos that match the angles of the befores? Remember that taking and presenting consistent photos is vital.

Best wishes,

Bill

Bill,
I forgot about that dimension, sorry. He literally popped in as he was in town but he lives overseas and returns every few months.I showed him his initial pics and he said he was happy for the ones shown.I will e mail and ask him again. The only reason i showed it was because he allowed some of the 4 month shots which we took. Also because of his level of loss it seemed to be a good case to be shown but i completely understand. All angles or nothing is the way it should be but it was an oversight.
Spex, not certain because in the flesh it looks the same.Maybe head tilt or bad camera work or even hair styling design as you mentioned.I will let you know.On a separate point can you e mail me your no. when you have a minute please.
Dakota yes more were needed..point taken

Mick
