Patient is a 31 year old with a Norwood Class IIIv. After consulting with several surgeons and meeting with Dr. Panine twice, he elected to have his procedure with Dr. Panine. Prior to his surgery he expressed his concerns and expectations. His concern was additional hairloss, which Dr. Panine addressed by putting him on Propecia and explaining to him that it does not work for everyone but does have a 90% success rate. His expectations were to have a natural hairline, add density to the frontal 1/3, and thicken the crown. Dr. Panine told him that Hair Restoration is an excellent alternative for correcting his hairloss. He also explained to him that he will have a natural hairline, but it will be slightly higher than his original hairline was with some temple recession. The reason for this is so that it will look good for him as he gets older, which a juvenile hairline will not. Also it was explained to him that he will have good density, but not quite the density of his hair prior to any hairloss. It was also explained to him that one session should give him an excellent result, but if further hairloss continues he might need an addition session.
The break down of his procedure was 1,430 single hairs 1,360 2-3 hair grafts for a total of 2,790 grafts.
