Dr Bryan Nobbay
1. Very Unethical doctor. Most people don't realise how doctors are fooling the public as they are naive or do not do their homework before going in for surgery.I had a bad experience with Dr Bryan Nobbay recently after having hair transplant. He claims to charge Rs 25 per graft but after surgery splits the graft count into single hair to increase the no of grafts so that cost actually becomes more than double. He told me that the final graft count would be given after surgery.I realised that this would be too expensive & negotiated to pay totally Rs 75,000 lump sum for front and crown. After surgery, he claimed that he transplanted 4200 grafts & I thought that he had given me a good discount.Until I realised to my shock after 7 months that the no. of hair transplanted was far less than required.I consulted 3 other doctors and only then realised that the no of grafts was around 1800-1900 max.The no. 4200 could have been hair but not grafts as he claims. This is clearly an attempt to mislead the customer for personal gains. Now I have to go for another surgery as he has put too few hair(no marked improvement in the bald area) and it has been a waste of my time and money.
2. Also, he claimed that he does trichophytic closure for the scar but actually does not do it for his patients.I verified and came to know that my stiches were closed using the old technique and not trichophytic closure, which takes 10 minutes extra to perform if you know it. Another reason for me to feel cheated.
Overall a very negative experience.I would request customers to be careful of doctors who put their car and house above patients best interest and overcharge them to get rich. Pl refer Beware of Hair Tranplant Crooks to know more about ethics in hair transplant field.
