Dear all,

I had a transplant a year ago to restore my hairline and it was a success and I'm happy with the results. However, other hair is thinning and I'm noticing hair loss so I decided to take Propecia and I'm aware of all the side effects. Yesterday was my first pill.
Did anyone used propecia and really worked for them?
and for how long should I take these relatively expensive pills?
Is it ok to take other vitamines while taking propecia?

Yes. It works. It will maintain your hair, if not regrow it.

For the rest of your life.

Finasteride can be gotten quite inexpensively from Indian pharmaceutical companies.

There are many patients that have had documented benefits from taking Propecia. That does not mean you are guarenteed to have positive results from taking it. In order to give the medication a fair chance to work you should take it for at least 9-12 months. Any side effects would most likely occur within the first few weeks. There is a generic form of Finasteride that is less expensive. Ask your prescribing doctor for more information. There should be no problems from taking vitamins with Propecia.
