Aska,

If you read the above posts, I addresssed in great detail what I believe to be flawed logic in the way some of our members evaluate surgeons.

We took all input into consideration, but when all is said and done, there was no compelling reason not to admit him, especially after he posted several additional quality examples of his work in the last 2 days.

Dr. Ross has had no complaints since he was approved for recommendation over a year ago, and all of the evidence we've seen shows he does ultra refined work.

How we recommend hair transplant surgeons and how our community is funded is no secret. To see how we recommend hair transplant surgeons, click here.

Pat and I have the final say on all recommendations however, all input is strongly considered. If we see compelling reasons not to recommend a doctor, we will not proceed with recommendation or Coalition membership. In the last year, we've denied dozens of doctors membership in our community because we didn't feel they met our high standards. And this way even before they made it to the public review process. Other doctors have made it as far as public review but after hearing legitimate concerns, we chose not to recommend them.

You had your chance to give me a compelling reason why he shouldn't be a Coalition member however, given all that we've seen including evaluating the additional 8 or so examples of his work he posted in the last 2 days, we disagree with your assessment and have chosen to approve him.

Ultimately, you will either choose to trust our decision or not.

Best Regards,

Bill

OK Bill, just got the feeling that once you create a topic it'll be useless to go against it. Just what i feel, but you and Pat have the right to have the final word and select the Drs.
Thx for responding.

Aska,

I understand your concern. However, there are other doctors who were up for public review and recommendation that didn't make it due to member feedback.

There is a lot of data to consider when we're evaluating a doctor and your and other member feedback is certainly a part of it. But as we consider all the feedback, we're not always going to agree with everyone. It seems like the reviews above were pretty mixed. Pat and I just happened to agree with those who support his membership given all the data we collected.

Thanks for understanding,

Bill

Congrats Dr. Ross!

I expect a great outcome from my HT now that I know it was done by Coalition hands ;-)

Best to you and your practice in the coming years.

Dr DeYarman should now be back on the coalition as he trained Dr Ross and Jeri(head tech). He did a good job.

------
Note by Moderator: RSF and Dr. DeYarman share the same IP address. RSF was questioned on this but never answered. Thus, although technical anomalies occur (dynamic IP addresses, IP spoofing, etc), it's a possible conclusion that RSF is a representative of Dr. DeYarman. Due to his failure to adress the concerns of a shared IP address, he is no longer a member of this community.

RSF What do you mean back in coalition?
Was he here before ?
Any details?
Bill was Dr DeYarmin a member at one time?

If true I agree that Dr DeYarmin should be revisited at the very least if this is true.
Thanks for that info.
Im sure Bill will look into this for the sake of the community
If he trained Dr Ross then he must be even more coalition worthy

Ok I just found it Jon 1 says the same thing .
Does anyone know what happened to DeYarmin.

In a few days, on July 16, 2009, I am having a 4,000 unit hair transplant procedure by Dr. DeYarman.

He was recommended to me by one of the best plastic surgeons in San Diego that my wife used with exceedingly happy results.

I'll be posting my results week-by-week. Right now, I'm curious who online here thinks that I'll be disappointed.

Rsf and others,

The reasons Dr. Deyarman is no longer a member of the Coalition are well documented on this forum, especially the Dr. Deyarman lawsuit thread.

But this topic is reserved for the discussion of Dr. Ross' Coalition membership. Thus, we will not be hosting discussion about anything unrelated on this topic.

QuantGuru, you have posted the same content baiting others into debate on several old controversial topics you revived. I already addressed you on another thread, but since your motives are clearly to bait others into a fight and promote your doctor, you are not welcome to post here.

Best regards,

Bill
