Forrest Gump, his up for Coalition, not Recommendation. So I agree, Recommend - YES, Coalition - Not Yet.

The work looks solid, but the documentation is lacking, and I'd also be keen to see some cases on extensively bald guys. You hate to be negative and assume the worst, but you're left in the dark when basic protocol in documenting the before/intra/post aspects of work isn't followed (flash, angles, clarity, consistency).

It's subjective, ultimately, I guess, and the information available to us is inferior to all that has been observed by Pat/Bill. I wouldn't say "yay", but I wouldn't feel like it's some crime if he was a Coalition Member.

Guys,

Don't forget that Pat visited and observed Dr. Ross and his staff in live surgery. Pat has visited almost if not more than a hundred clinics over the years and knows exactly what to look for. See the highlights from Pat's visit to Dr. Ross' clinic by clicking here.

Whereas I know that many people want to see dozens if not hundreds of examples of a physicians work prior to considering them for the Coalition, it's simply not probable and the amount of work required for physicians would turn off most from wanting to be considered.

As HairDew said, there are approximately 15 cases presented by Dr. Ross on this forum. In my opinion, this is a large enough sample for members to get an idea of the kind of work he regularly performs. Additionally, Dr. Ross has had no negative reviews on this forum since he was approved for recommendation a year ago.

Take a look at the many glowing remarks members have made about his work on his photo albums. I've copied a few below for your reference.

rsf said "Dr Ross, thanks for getting the photos up. Unbelievable change"

Raphael84 said "WOW, what great results. I am hugely impressed. The patient must be ecstatic."

JohnS said "Big difference. Nice work."

Aaron1234 said "Wow. That's a mop up there. Nice density for sure."

Dewayne said "Whoa! That looks great to me. What a scar! That looks completely undetectable"

Other than wanting to see more, is there any compelling reason why Dr. Ross shouldn't be considered for the Coalition?

Bill

Bill,

This is the only case of Ross' that I've seen and I don't think its a great one even though it hasn't grown out. Its not dense packed enough and if the patient didn't want to pay for more grafts wouldn't you alter the hairline instead of spreading things out?

Abedogg,

I appreciate you posting this link. However, to take it in context, I think it's important to read what the patient posted right below the photos:

"Yeah, they could have done some more and made it a longer day, but this what I could afford for now, and being on the other side of 40, I'm not looking for the fountain of youth, just to look my age with some hair."

What the patient can afford and their goals will always control the surgeon's game plan.

There are other examples showing that Dr. Ross has the ability to dense pack. This particular patient opted for coverage over density and it looks like Dr. Ross performed the surgery to help him meet those goals.

Best wishes,

Bill

Abedogg

Chargedup had a similar procedure to mine around the same time as me with approx = graft count. Him and me are in our 40's and while I had a dusting in my crown, Dr. Ross did proportionally space my grafts from front to back a bit. In Chargedup's case I did notice a more uniform spread and I am unclear as to the game plan for why this was done.

I wish he would come back with some pics at this point.

Bill,

Clearly you and I will have to disagree as to how many photos are sufficient to form an opinion. I do no think 15 is nearly enough, but that's irrelevant to this post, however it does seem that many posters shame my belief. You asked us other than wanting to see more, is there any reason why Dr. Ross shouldn't be considered for the Coalition? My response is that without seeing more I can't answer that question. Asking me to give an opinion with limited evidence would be akin to asking me to give a girl a 1-10 rank after only seeing her face. She may be really pretty, but what if she's rocking an A cup, or has a pancake ass? You need to see the full body shot before you can drop the 8,9,10. Let me see Dr. Ross in a bikini and then I can tell you if there's a reason for why he shouldn't be recommended. (a figurative bikini, please)

Bill you are probably dead on explaining the game plan with chargedup's HT.

BTW for the record I would be very excited knowing that I had my HT done by a coalition Doc. I just wanted to make sure no one suspected that I was Dr. Ross's love monkey for all the praise I have bestowed on him and his staff in the recent past.

The arguments wanting to see more (and more recent) mature results is very valid. While this may indeed put off some Docs as you suggest, I don't feel the record as it stands wins over a substantial majority of members here.

You more senior members will have to agree amongst yourselves if you have seen enough of Dr. Ross's results to warrant the high office of Coalition member.
