Dr. Feller, what was the reasont to just focus the FUE in the "arc" area drawn? Looking at his pics, it looks like he will have a large balding crown in a few years-- so why not try and cover the entire area?

It seems that this persons crown had suffient surrounding hair to cover his baldspot to begin with. If you comb apart any area of a persons hair it will appear less. When you show us the baldspot combed with the fue work of course it's going to look fuller!!.

Guapo,
I'm having an FUE photo section put in soon. Just have to the photos over to the web people.

Smoothy,
He has reached the limit of his crown loss. Actually, he had NO crown coverage at all prior to the transplant. The graft placement I used was the best use of the grafts he had. In time, we can add more FUEs to the other areas to re-enforce the crown.

forlife,
This patient was a Norwood seven and as such did NOT have any hair with which to cover the crown prior to FUE. Your analysis is incorrect.

The only hair he had was hair from prior strip surgery I did to cover the front and top, and a few light whispy hairs that you can see within the demarcated recipient area prior to surgery.

There is no subterfuge or decepetion. If you are in the NY area call my office and I will arrange for you to meet him in person. NO problem.

how many grafts had this guy had before this round? If he was indeed a NW7 then all of the dense hair seen at the front of his scalp must have been previously transplanted, correct? This is a remarkable change from a NW7.

This patient is a "Hybrid". He had 5,000 grafts in the front and top using strip method. Then 1000 FUE in grafts in the crown.

Dr. Feller,

Any new meds in the pipeline? Seems not much is happening...Propecia's a squirt gun, Avodart is unapproved for baldies - and only marginally better in my one year exeperience - and rogaine is not much better....seems the field is stalled

Dr. Feller,
How many FU's would it have taken to desperse into the entire crown area? And what would that result be compared to the way you loaded FU's to the left side to comb over?
