This is going to be a long post because I want to knock a lot of questions out at once.

I am a 17 year old white male with a hairline exactly like these pictures below. Not totally straight across the front. It curves inwards giving the impression of a big widows peak, like a Norwood 2. First question is if that is normal at my age. I don't know too many people who have it at my age and I really do not want it to accelerate past that point.

My family history is pretty good. Father has all his hair at 50 and my hairline looks like his when he was about my age. Both my grandfathers had all their hair, and so does my mom's brother. My only concern is that I heard somewhere that people can inherit the gene for baldness but not express it - that it needs to be triggered somehow. I hear certain medications or conditions can do this.

I've been doing a bunch of random supplements for my acne in the past and I'm afraid one of them could have triggered it and that I might see the effects down the road.

I've taken: The antibiotic Doxycycline, probiotics, DIM, Niacin, apple cider vinegar, and MSM. Are any of these known hair loss triggers? I took the antibiotic the longest, for about 2 months. All the others were a month at most or less and I did not take all these supplements at the same time.

I've heard malnutrition is also a trigger. What does that mean exactly? Too much fat and sugar? Or too few vitamins, minerals, or calories?

Lastly, I hear that DHEA supplements are known to trigger hair loss. I am not nor have taken any but I was considering doing urine therapy for something unrelated to hair. DHEA is supposed to be present in high amounts in male urine. Is it enough to be a trigger?

Basically I have no real hair loss or anything, just afraid that I screwed up and have set myself up for hair loss in the future.

As you have no hairloss at all (I don't consider James Dean to have been a NW2) and you also have no family history of hairloss, I would put all thoughts of it out of your mind.
Just monitor your hair and look out for changes, but don't obsess over it.

Unless you NEED to be taking certain things for medical conditions, then cut out taking all the crap and stop worrying about something that you don't have.

First and foremost, most of us would KILL to look like James Dean, so if you can pull that off, I think you're fine. That said, the main thing that caught my attention in your post was malnutrition. From my personal research, I found that at the very least, malnutrition can leave you with flat, thin hair. I don't know that any studies have been done on this (what doctor would starve people to see if they lose hair) but stressing your body and depriving it of nutrients is bound to hurt you. Please take time to ensure that you're getting proper food, including your fruits and vegetables - vitamin B complex helps with healing and strong hair - and that will have you on the right track
