Several areas of the head, including patient's moustache was addressed.

Graft/Hair count:
1's - 1340
2's - 1505
3's - 221
4's - 11
Total Grafts: 3077 = 5057 Total hairs

As you can see, the patient has above average number of single hair grafts. Fortunately, he has thick caliber hairs to make up for it.

Patient will be posting his experience with SMG soon and hopefully will keep us all updated of his progress.

I really like that hairline and temple point design! It will do an excellent job framing this patient's face. I think that once his hair grows in, he may elect not to keep the beard...

An important element to note are the temple points in relation to my ears. As I think the frontal and rear pictures indicate, my left ear is significantly higher and further forward than my right ear. (When I was a child I couldn't wear single-mold plastic glasses because they would sit crooked on my face.)

This presented some challenges, which I think Dr. Shapiro can speak to with more expertise. But basically, in order to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result (both in profile and frontally,) it would have looked weird to have a perfectly symmetrical hairline. So a lot of time was spent measuring with the lasers beforehand.

(And yes, the facial hair was only grown out temporarily, to give context for the mustache thinkening. I'm lucky that my beard is red, because the redness and irritation on my upper lip kind of matches the overall hue of my facial hair these past several days .)

Hi,

Thanks for the positive comments and questions. Here are more data on Generic1 to give you better idea of the work and results he'll achieve.

Approximately 500 grafts went in the crown. For the temples - approx. 100 grafts on each side. And about 150 grafts into the mustache. I am editing the original post to add his individual graft and hair count.

Generic1, you mention your left ear as being significantly higher - didn't notice until you said something about it.

Damn Generic you dont play around .
I remember you from a few months back trying to decide between Shapiro Epstein and Hasson & Wong and now your already posting your surgery pics.

I remember thinking its great that you live in San Fran yet were willing to fly to one of the premier clinics.
Alot of guys would of stayed in Cali and called it a day.
There are some really good Cali surgeons but when your going to do something that has the potential to totally change your life then why not leave your head in the hands of a top clinic
