This young Gentleman in his early 40's came to our clinic from Australia.
He has been to few clinics and was flatly refused surgery for his Advance type VII MPB. His donor area can only spare 2500 to 3000 grafts only. He did not fulfill my requirement for min imum of 4000 graft donor area. But he was adamant to get the surgrey done no matter what. All he was looking at is a shade of hair on the top as he hate to be totally bald. He was sevely self concious and his self esteem was at lowest, so I took him as am exception and did his surgery. It was only suppose to be a small shade on top. No Grafts on crown etc. SO we did his surgery and no promise was made to him in anyway. This is 5 months and 8 months post operative result. The main features are 1) Angle of EXIT of the grafts from scalp 2) Using the curl of the hair shaft 3) Optical illusion with stretegic placing of grafts.

The work itself looks really good. For only 2500 grafts you cant ask for much more than this for a result. I still think someone of this advanced stage of baldness "with a virgin scalp" should be turned away. Although he may of went to a hack and had a truly aweful result if you had turned him away. Good job under the circumstances doc!!

It looks to me you made the right decision. He looks much improved for a small number of grafts compared to the size of his bald areas

I'd have to agree. If his mind was that made up, he would of found somebody to take him. From the photos, this looks like an impressive result.

Mohmand's cases on extreme NW's while utilizing very few grafts are extremely impressive. This is no exception.

dr mohmand..i think for someone in his situation and for what he bought to the table initially, i think he has a very good result.
