This man in his late 20s had thinning hair over a large area in a Norwood 6 pattern. He has some family members who have Norwood 7 patterns and he appropriately takes Finasteride and uses Minoxidil. He also had a thin but fairly low hairline.
Our goal was to transplant the front in one session of 3000 grafts then to return later to transplant the midscalp. After that, we would reserve donor hair for future needs. He has black, average diameter, fairly straight donor hair. He had more 2-haired grafts and fewer 3s than average. The transplanted hairline was started at the back of his natural hairline so that it would blend in now and could take over later. His hairline was created with pre-made lateral slits and the rest of the area was filled in with a stick-and-place technique. His hair was transplanted less dense than usual at 49 fug per cm2 in his forelock and behind his hairline then at 42 then at 36 to cover a larger area. These were interim photos at 6 months and I do not have a complete set. He is planning to have his second session in December.

Dr. Simmons,
Your photo presentations are impressive, as are your results. I do agree with others however, that it's advisable to present top down before/after photos along with the rest of them. Nice work, Bill
