I just had another hair transplant this past Saturday (5 days ago), and as per instructed, I've been doing all of the post op instructions. I poured water only over my head the next day (Sunday). Shampoo on some gauze patting it gently over the grafts the following few days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and today). Again, water poured over head with a cup afterwards. I haven't been using any antibiotic ointment, Aloe Vera or vitamin E cream to reduce the crusting. Letting the natural air do it's healing. But day 4 (yesterday), the itching became unbearable. I would never scratch. Just place my flat hand over me head and press down lightly. This gave me some relief. Today I used some conditioner on the recipient sites, leaving it on there for about 2 minutes before gently pouring water over my head. Most of the scabbing is now gone (I'd say 75%). Did I cause any damage to the actual grafts and roots? I have a call into my doctor. Again, I have not once scratched my head this whole time nor have I done anything but gently pat the wet head/hair with a towel after showering . I never used conditioner before. But one of the doctors at the clinic said I could when I told him how bad the itching was after my last transplant. I just didn't know when I could use it. Hope it wasn't too soon. Thanks in advance for any and all input.
