This result is one in which we treated a male in his early 30's showing a class 4 likely evolving into 5/6 pattern. Given the patient's likely hair loss progression, Dr. Dorin wanted to approach this case keeping the big picture in mind while still achieving a meaningful cosmetic change with this initial treatment. The FUT focused on adding density/reframing the frontal triangle as well as providing coverage selectively into the top and vertex region. As is typical, development of the transplant in the vertex tends to lag behind the change that happens in the front. Of the 2219 grafts transplanted, 553 were singles, 1610 doubles, and 56 threes: 3941 Hairs.
Donor density: 65 fu/cm2, average scalp elasticity, medium texture.

orangehair,
Dr. Dorin made a little go along way - very nicely done. And in the event this patient does lose more hair, I imagine he's got a lot of donor in reserve given the smaller session size? Kudos. Bill

The top down shot really shows the extent of this patient's thinning. Very nice result for 2,219 grafts. As Bill said, a little went a long way in this case. Well done.

Very nice natural result with more to come. It would be ideal if everyone had tons of donor but since that's not the case, Dr. Dorin is making the best of what there is.

Could you tell me how many grafts were transplanted into the crown area? Also, I agree that this patient got a lot of coverage for the amount of grafts Dr. Dorin worked with, but it looks as though this patient has a thick caliber of hair. Not everyone could get away with this.
