The new hairline no doubt makes this patient look more feminine. I realise the face lift may also contribute to her overall look but I agree that it's quite a dramatic change. I'm sure she is very pleased with the change.
I realise Dr. Beehner had to list this patient as a male but I'd think it only right in posts we recognise her as a female, she has took life changing steps to be accepted as one and to feel better in herself. |

Maxxy,
Thanks for your comments. This patient, unlike most of the patients I have had over the years that choose to dress and appear as a woman, has not sought legal female status as a transgender person, but is comfortable staying a male in that regard. I can't give a lot of other background for confidentiality reasons. Mike Beehner, M.D. |

Fascinating to see a relatively unusual case and I imagine the patient is thrilled. It is truly an excellent result Dr Beehner - a dramatic change even without the accompanying facial surgery. Real artistry on your part.
Incidentally, here in the UK we would use the female designation as Maxxy suggests. Although legal recognition as a female may only happen upon conclusion of transgender surgery, out of respect we would maintain the female designation for both a pre-operative person and a male who seeks to change their gender identity in non-surgical ways. That said, you know more about the details than us! Regards Acrobaz |

Dr. Beehner,
From a completely aesthetic perspective, this is an incredible transformation. Thanks for your presenting such a unique case. Bill

A fabulous transformation Dr Beehner!!!
I really appreciate your approach , the hairline looks absolutely feminine and suits the face. There are alot of guys who prefer the feminine look without altering their gender. The androgynous look is something which is sought after in many Southeastern Asian countries so I admire your open mindness and helping this guy with his desires and life. After all a ht is something which should help us to get back on track and live our lives the way we want it. For me a hairtransplant is something to help us forget about our hair and I think this patient who already has an outstanding result will even be more over the moon after the third procedure. Fabulous result! |
