Hi everyone,

I only joined the forums recently and asked a few questions about proscar. I've been to the doctor and got a prescription for it for 1.25 mg per day.

My question is about the shedding. I've read a lot of posts about people shedding some hair not long after they start taking it. I am going on holidays in about 6 weeks and had a few questions.

- How bad is the shedding? Is it actually visible in that you will look like you have less hair?
- How long after you begin treatement does it generally occur?
- Do you think I should wait until after my holiday in 6 weeks? I don't want to be overseas with my hair looking thinner from the proscar :P

Shedding is common after starting Minoxidil or Propecia, although it's was not that significant for me it is for many guys. But don't worry,it will not make you bald in 6 weeks.
