Thanks! Got it!

I am posting a few pictures of today...this is probably what everyone begins to go through...but since my scabs are disappearing, my head is beginning to look like I didn't even have the surgery again. I know I am told this is normal...but I guess I was hoping for at least a few days of seeing many little tiny hairs on my head. It seems my head is going back to normal before surgery.....should I be worried? I guess I'm just worried that 1600 grafts won't be noticable at all as a difference in my hair. Encouragement would be helpful! Thanks

Bill

Bill,

Looking good so far, Of the 1600 FU, How many were placed in your crown area? Your hailine is going to look natural and after you grow your hair out, you might be surprised with the density look.

Bill,
don't second guess your decision. You will be able to tell a noticable differance.

Should you be worried that your head is going back to normal. No!!

Everything is on course. You are on the "rollercoaster" ride, that most people go through.

Don't worry!! Sit back and relax. You have, possibly to the 3 month mark, before you may see any differance.

Thanks for responding. I appreciate the feedback and encouragement. I know I am being silly, but I guess even though I know results are far from immediate, I just want to see results as soon as possible.

Smoothy, There were 800 placed in the front to middle, and 800 placed in the back in the bald spot.

Hairbethere, thanks! Yep, I look forward to getting to the 3 month mark! Hopefully I will begin to see growth by then!

Hi all,

Added a pic of the back of my head after I got a hair cut. Check out the last pic. Even when short, I can't see the scar. I will take another pic of the actual scar when my wife is home and can take it. I took this pic myself...not very easy! Comments???

Hi all!

Added 2 month update pics! I am hoping by the time I add the 3 month update pics that there will be a big difference. I really don't see any additional hairs yet...maybe a few in the hairline popping through...but nothing to jump out yet! Comments and encouragement would be helpful! Thanks

Bill,
Looks great so far, buddy! I am almost 4 months post op and I have some growth. Not anything dramatic yet, which I can't wait for the big sprout to happen, but you've still got some waiting to do before you see a big change. You seemed to have healed nicely. Good luck!

Brando,

Thanks for the comments! Yeah, I am starting to see a few little hairs popping out near the hairline which is kind of cool, but nothing dramatic or anything. Do you have a link to your pics? I'd love to see them!

you will be very disappointed if you expect a huge difference at 3 months. In fact, at 3 months my hair was still worse than before the HT due to shock. While all patients are different, 3 months is a bit early to expect anything visibly significant. I noticed a huge explosion at around 4.5 months that continues now (6 months). You are at the absolute worst part of the HT - waiting. Postpone your hopes to see significant results until 5 or 6 months, which is more realistic, and then you can be delightfully surprised if it happens sooner. You're almost there bud!
