HairbeThere,
Thanks for the comments. No, not a lot of redness. See the first previous set of pics...there was some redness on the top of my head where the grafts were placed, but mostly healed by now...still healing though. I get my sultures out on Monday...WOO HOO! I'll post scar line pics Monday or Tuesday! Have a good one! Bill

I just added two new pics, one of the sulture line the day of the stitch removal, and a picture of the top! This will be my last update for awhile. I will keep everyone posted, but I really would like replies so I know people are reading this. Without any replies or encouragement, the motivation to post diminishes!

looks like you still have some scabs up top.....mine were generally gone by day 7. Have you washed your hair and gently rubbed your scalp or are you being "extra-careful"? Those remaining scabs should pop right off now and then you will have very little evidence until the new growth. You seem to have just enough existing hair to pull it off.

Yep, I am being "extra careful". I am very gently touching the area when washing my hair, but I wouldn't even call it a massage at this point. Am I being too cautious?

You are ok to shampoo normally now at two weeks. I would continue to keep it out of the sun, though (I don't know where you live, it is still hot here). What medications and shampoo are you using?

Hairbethere,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, perhaps I should start shampooing a little more normal now. It feels so good having the stitches out...the scar is healing very nicely, just a little itchy from time to time. Forum Moderator, I'm in Pennsylvania, it's starting to get a little chillier, but not to worry...I wear a hat most of the time, especially outside, really, all the time when I'm even out (unless at work inside), so it will stay out of the sun. As of now I'm just using Head and Shoulders Shampoo to help relieve some of the itching and I'm using Minoxodil. I will be starting Propecia in about a week or so. Any comments on the pros or cons of Propecia would be helpful as well! Thanks

As for the Propecia, do a search on it under the "Find" tab at the top of your screen. You will find all the pros and cons from different posters that you want. Decreased libido seems to be the biggest.

Ok, now I feel ignorant...but what is libido?
