This 48 year old male has had three modest-sized sessions totalling 3296 grafts (9694 hairs). 2406 of his grafts were FU's and 800 were double-FU grafts.

Hey Sipowitz, I wondered what he's been up to since NYPD Blue went off the air.
It looks natural from what I can see, but would like to see hairline swept back, just not really showing enough (slick it back some). Due to patients high yield (hairs to graft number) would of thought the vertex would have more fullness (pic. 10). seems a little front-heavy. A little confused on the 800 DU's (so would it of been ~4100 fu's, except for the combining? This would explain the high hair count per graft).

Dr. Beehner,

Another beautiful result as usual. Well done.

Best wishes,

Bill

Leeson,
Probably at least a quarter of the MFU grafts (multi-follicular grafts) were in fact "TFU's", triple FU grafts. These grafts range in our practice from 4-6 hairs apiece and average 5 hairs per. Bill has asked me repeatedly in the past to help explain some of the reasons we like to use these grafts in the central regions in some of our patients, so I will initiate a thread under "Questions and Answers" so that I can more easily share it with the readers.
I missed the reference on NYPD. Are you saying that my patient looks like someone that was on the show? Other than Jimmy Smitz and the slightly overweight bald guy, I can't say I remember anyone from the show. Come to think of it - with the mustache, maybe he does slightly resemble the second guy I mentioned!

Thanks doc for helping us to better understand the DU's. I also had du's in my last session.
Yeah, the second guy. Andy, he was my favorite character. W/O the mustache, he would look nothing like him. Amazing how one detail can totally change one's appearance.
