Thanks Joe.
B Spot, I can vouch for the fact that Dr Knudsen knows Dr Shapiro and has observed his work. When I had my procedure done in '04, Dr Shapiro was not only in attendance in the surgery, he also placed some of my grafts. True story. Regardless of whether you like the work of the Drs or not, they are both top shelf humans. |

i myself considered a hair transplant with dr knudsen, i have to say the pricing is very expensive and after looking at his previous work compared to other doctors i am very surprised to see such poor results on patients.
Dr Knudsen has had enough experience in this field to exceed my and anyones expectations although has failed i am sure he is a very nice guy but im not paying for politness im paying for the result. In my personal research no Australian Doctor has sufficient evidence of "todays up to standard HT's" and the price they are charging i feel is using the patients vulnerability check the link or the photos attatched and make your own mind up but i know i wouldnt pay 12'000 AU + for some of the photos listed on the before and afters Last edited by Future_HT_Doc; 08-02-2010 at 01:09 PM. In January of this year, I had a 2000 graft perfromed by Dr Knudsen. The total cost was $12650AUD - expensive. The results? Pretty good! Im very pleased with the results. The hair continues to improve and beinig in month 7'ish of the procedure, seems to be getting better every day :-) Would I return to Dr Knudsen for a further procedure? Yes - but the cost is off putting. I am in a position where I travel through Asia Pacific & am considering making a 2000 graft session with wither Dr Pong or Dr Path' in Thailand. Ive performed a cost analysis for both doctors and there is a variance of circa $2000 AUD if I choose Dr Path'. Considering my airfares would be paid return to HK, all I have to do is travel to Thailand from HK...so its quite cost effective. Dr Knudsen is an excellent Australian choice. I would highly recommend him. Hope my info helps. Last edited by Future_HT_Doc; 08-08-2010 at 01:14 PM. |

I have met and had an consultation with Dr Knudsen, and as already mentioned he is very
knowledgeable/polite and not pushy when discussing a HT operation. He did recommend I keep on propecia but because of sides I just take half a tab a day, rather than one every few days. I need my temples done and would seriously consider using him, unless I could see a financial & cosmetic advantage in going to the U.S. |
