Hi All,

I've come down with a sinus infection this week and am trying to beat it without resorting to antibiotics (with mixed results). So, I'm trying to figure out if there's any contra-indication to taking an antibiotic like Augmentin (which is amoxicillin plus clavulanic acid) a couple of months after an HT mega-session?

I've noticed a bit of shedding when taking this drug in the past, but it might just have been the result of the underlying infection rather than the drug. Does anyone know whether or not such antibiotics might pose any sort of risk to the recipient grafts?

Sparse,

By all means start your regimen of antibiotics without fear of harming your grafts. You have nothing to worry about.

Augmentin does not cause hair loss. You are fine to take the drug. Considering, I give it out like candy to my sinus patients and have never had anyone complain of that so you'll be fine.
