Thin, but nonetheless a great result. If the hallmark of a great transplant is undetectability, then this is certainly great.

This patient has very aggressive balding for someone under 30, and to me that would seem to signal that in all likelihood, he will become a NW 7. Dr. Panine, in your opinion is the 3,200 grafts the most that you felt comfortable in transplanting because of his degree of balding? Also, in the likely event that this patient continues to lose more native hair, what is the plan? Last, do you have any immediate post op pics? I would like to see where the grafts were placed.

All in all, when you consider the small number of grafts used, I would say that this is a very good result.

I'd have to agree. This def looks good for 3200, and I'd suspect he may have some additional thickening in store in the coming months. He was a pretty bold NW6, and his hairs look fairly fine, so not the easiest case. Another procedure weighted towards the front and he should be looking pretty sharp. But even as is I'd say he's taken a big step forward.

That is a great result. But like the guys above said, I am wondering if it will still look great when the patient is 40 or 50. That's some aggressive balding... but with some concealers I'm sure it looks pretty darn full along with that result. If I'm that patient, I'm praying hard for HM....

Dear TC17,
The amount of grafts determined was by the density of donor site and the desire to leave minimal scarring we felt that 3200 grafts was an optimal amount of grafts under the circumstances. The patients hairloss has stabilized, he has not lost hair in the last 3 years. The patient is also on Propecia and I plan to re-evaluate the patient in the next 8 months and possible due another session at that time. Dr. Panine

I like this result. I think that it shows a great improvement. 100% natural, and a great start for a proceeding HT!
