This nice fellow had had 7 previous transplants in 3 states, none by me. While I thought he looked pretty good from conversational distance(3-4 feet), he was concerned about lack of density along his frontal hairline.

We met a few times to discuss options and given his limited donor area, all scarred out from lots of non-parallel strip scars in the past, I recommended we excise 2 fairly thin lateral strips and place all singles along the hairline.

While I don't think this will dramatically change his appearance with his current hairstyle, I do expect a significant improvement along the hairline if he pulls his hair back, parts it differently, or gets a shorter cut.

Looks like a fine job, Dr. Lindsey. It seems like a smart move to concentrate on the feathering zone rather than spread the grafts out any further. I've had three procedures ranging from 500-800 grafts each, and always appreciate seeing the smaller sessions posted, especially ones that appear more logical.

I'm still in a situation somewhat similar to this guy's, seeking further refinement/density. Hopefully this can be accomplished without allocating any more grafts than necessary to the hairline.

I'm looking forward to seeing this grown out.

Thanks. This is what was reasonable for him, and I think it will make a nice but subtle improvement. He is do in at 1 for a scar check and if any pics are worth taking, I'll put them up.

Looks like it will turn out very nice . What does non paralell scars mean . Is it a overlapping or criss-crossing of multiple scars ?

He had several scars criss-crossing one another. I can imagine the second surgeon thinking maybe the first scar was in the wrong spot. But for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th guys to all pick a new incision line is surprising to me. There must have been a fair amount of scarzone without any hair in those later strip excisions. We have had several cases like this, including a guy I posted more than 18months ago, with a followup this past March. He was our express mail deliverer so I used to see him alot and we got him from 5 down to 3 scars I think with our 1500 crown case. But I haven't seen him since spring, so he may have changed jobs.
