This fellow was aquainted with one of our techs and had had 1000 grafts in Pakistan 2 years ago. We had a couple of talks about his very thin hair shafts, and his tight scalp for which he did some scalp exercises a few weeks preop. His goal was to thicken up his previous work and he was pretty realistic about what we could expect to achieve with his donor hair.
We took a very long strip and a width of 1.5cm, a bit narrower than our normal strip, was very snug on closing with a 2 layer tricho technique. He donor supply was however both not dense and consisted of fine, mostly singles; hence we got just over 2000 grafts. His post op pics are at day 6 and we'll see him again for a scar check around Thanksgiving. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA
