Dr. Parsley,
If only I had this patient's hair characteristics - perhaps then I would have been able to achieve this illusion of density with only 3800 grafts. I'm glad to see you posting some examples of the larger sessions you're performing when appropriate for the patient. Your work continues to impress our patient community. I think it's only a matter of time that we should should begin to seriously consider you for the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians. Best wishes, Bill

stamos,
Hair characteristics (color, properties, thickness, etc.) can affect the overall result and appearance "illusion" of density. Ultimately, thicker hair will result in more density with fewer grafts. To accomplish the same level of density as a patient with thick hair, patient's with thin hair may need 2 or even 3 times as many grafts to create the same illusion. Dr. Arocha recently wrote a great article on How Hair Characteristics Impact Hair Transplant Results. It's definitely a worthwhile read. Anyway, I don't want to take this thread off topic because Dr. Parsley clearly deserves the accolades for producing this excellent result. Best wishes, Bill

This is one of the best results I've ever seen. I guarantee that if one of the "top" doctors had posted this result there would be a lot more comments on it. I do wonder how big of an impact this patient's characteristics had on the success of his transplant, because he has great coverage and density for a relatively small number of grafts.

?™mpressive results! Dr Parsley, was 3800 the number of "true" follicular units?
