Maxxy,
Offhand, I've never heard of Ketomousse. However, it sounds a lot like Extina - which I believe was one of the first topical ketoconazole treatments using versafoam technology. Extina has been approved by the FDA for seborrheic dermatitis and is only available by prescription. However, it can be purchased in the United States, unlike Ketamousse. Honestly, I believe topical ketoconazole is superior to shampoo versions such as Nizoral and Revita, simply because it has much more time to absord into the scalp than a shampoo that's washed out after a few minutes tops. Best wishes, Bill

I am glad I read this post. I use Nizoral 2% shampoo on occation when I geot a flair up of my Seborrheic Dermatitis. I am going to try and get this Extina right away. I am hoping that with the new Vresafoam delivery system I will not need to use it as often. If it is similar to the newer foam Rogaine products they may have something.

I'm also considering trying Extina/Ketomousse.
I've literally just purchased Revita (which I don't like, but I've decided to continue using it for now), does anyone know if it would be ok to use a product such as Extina while using Revita or would this be overkill? |

Dr. Charles and Maxxy,
In theory, I'm pretty impressed with what I've ready about the Extina product, but I've never tried it. I know a few hair restoration physicians have even recommended it as a viable alternative hair loss treatment to Propecia for men who are experiencing or are afraid to experience side effects. Mind you, ketoconazole has only proven to be a "weak" DHT inhibitor, but it's better than nothing :-) Bill

Does anyone have a link of where to buy ketomousse? All I could find was some Italian site that I couldn't navigate and I wouldn't mind giving it a try..

Hey Petchski,
I searched all over net for this stuff and like you I could only find the Italian site. I have personally decided that if I try the product, I'll go with Extina (the product Bill mentioned), it seems to be the same thing and I'm sure it will be a lot easier to get hold of. |
