Hey, new to the forum (so i've probably missed about 5 topics already, even tho i did search!)

I've decided to take Propecia due to a kind of receding hairline. I went to a Trichologist in London, UK and they said in about 10-15 years i'll be bald. But since i have long hair, i thought i'd start now!

I've been reading a lot in the forum about Finpecia (i also have some friends who take it) and i am wondering if anyone knows any genuine websites where i can buy "genuine" Finpecia?

Also... the effectivness of the drug... does this ever change? I mean, will the body eventually become "used" to the drug so it has a lesser effect? thanks!

Welcome musthavelonghair,

Have you looked in to using Proscar which contains Finasteride, the same active ingredient that is found in Propecia/Finpecia only at a high dose?

Proscar contains 5mg of Finasteride where as Propecia only contains 1mg.

Most people (including myself) buy Proscar and cut it into 4 pieces giving you roughly 1.25mg per piece at a greatly reduced cost, around ??10 a month.

Anyway, I use Unitedpharmacies who stock Proscar, Propecia and pretty much every generic out there.

If you decide to go the Proscar route, there is a member on this site called Spex, he has a doctor contact who will prescribe Proscar, 3 packs - a year's supply for ??120.

Finasteride has been known to lose effectiveness after some years, however many are still seeing benifits past the 10 year mark.
