Patient was a class 6. His goal was to have a natural hair line and get as much hair as possible in his initial surgery. Dr. Friedman felt he had good elasticity and we were able to get back to the vertex. Patient was thrilled with the results and is looking forward to his 2nd surgery to gain more density.

dakota,

Since I just spoke with Carly and walked her through posting her first album, I can actually field this question since she told me all about the patient.

This patient's initial goal was to get as much coverage as possible, which I believe was achieved quite well given the minimal number of grafts on a large bald area.

He intends to return to increase his density in the near future.

Best wishes,

Bill

If the angle of exit of the grafts were much more acute than it is there the same number of grafts would have given much more impact.

The problem with the Type VI & VII people is we are short of grafts and to create an illusion of both density and depth wehave to play with the angle of exit from skin and also with the curl of the shaft of hair. If you can play with those two factors then you can give a much better illusion than what has been Achieved.

Having said that, I know its not an easy job and this is a very decent coverage, but I agree that he does need one more session.

I would welcome the Surgeon to this forum.
