Great job doc, and Badger, you must be ecstatic with such early results. One thing that I find somewhat rare in you progressive pattern "of old", is that whilst you still kept some native hair throughout your hairline and just experienced thinning in these areas, that the native hair on your temples still remained very strong.
I think that this will only add to your overall final result, as the strong temple hairline could possibly give a more youthful appearance.

Please explain to me what is "aweful" about the quality of the photos? I do my best to standardize the photos with the exact same lighting, angles, and camera. The photos were placed side by side for the best comparison of the before and after shots, which makes the individual photos smaller. In fact, prior to publishing these photos, I had talked with Bill for the best dimensions to publish the photos on this site. Did you try using the "full photos" size instead of just the thumbnails? When you make them full size, the resolution is much better. The camera I use is the new Nikon D300 with a professional lens on a tripod. Also, in order to publish them on this site, they have to be dramatically reduced in size ( less then 500 kb). Most of my photos that I take are several MB in size. If it would be better, I can make them very large so one needs to scroll down the page to view them.
