I want the FUE procedure, and I'm trying to decide on these three Southern California Docs, and was hoping to get some advice, and if anyone out there knows anything (pros/cons) about these three docs?

Thank You

Jjarden,

I think it's great that you're doing your research prior to selecting a surgeon. Both Dr. Reed and Dr. Ross are elite members of the Coaliton of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians and in my opinion, produce outstanding results. Both Dr. Reed and Dr. Ross perform more FUT procedures than FUE. I haven't seen as much of Dr. Umar's work, but he does strictly FUE and BHT.

Is there any particular reason you're considering FUE over FUT?

Best wishes,

Bill

Thank you Mountinvan.

Thank You Bill.

Bill asked..."Is there any particular reason you're considering FUE over FUT?"

Two reasons...One is that I think I really only need about 1,500 grafts...I just want to reinforce my hairline and fill in the recessions. Second, I think because I see the FUE as being less "agressive" surgery...almost not really surgery. That strip procedure kind of scares me. I know that the FUT has helped MANY guys out there, but I just prefer the FUE.

Thanks!

I had a FUE transplant (2600 grafts hairline and frontal 3rd) with Umar 5 weeks ago. If you want to PM me, I can give you my experience up to now and my opinion of Dr. Umar.
