This man likes a short haircut and desires thickening of his frontal triangle region. He was super easy to work with given his nice straight hair, good color match and "grippy" scalp tissue.
He did a great job cleaning and his postop pics are day 7. He has an almost complete lack of any crustiness thanks to twice daily showering on day 5 and 6. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA

The patient came in for a quick scar check so I put it and a recipient site pic up. He is doing great even with that close haircut that allows his scar to be seen more than most.

Hes not very good at picture taking ,purchasing Plasmas. springing for lunch other then Little Ceasers for the staff ,or trying really hard not to use the words "this nice fellow' on every post BUT he seems to be a passionate doctor that is getting better and was taught by a really good surgeon.
Oh yeah, A nice fellow also Good luck with the growth |

PGP,
I will go along on the pic issue. Consistancy of pics needs to be improved. I have a tv for the front area, but I GUARANTEE you that if we put it in the procedure room, the entire case will slow down as the staff, possibly including me, starts watching Caddyshack rather than putting in hair. Since I always start placement, and continue until I can see how the staff is doing, I am right in there with the patient too. So folks are stuck with Van Halen and other classic rock. I might agree with you on the lunch....we get patients a sandwich platter nowadays, but again, once the office stops for lunch, it is dog gone hard to recoup the pre-lunch momentum. Its not that I am so anxious to get done, but around 3pm whoever is sitting in the chair starts getting ready for the procedure to be over. So each minute we dilly-daddle at lunch or watching tv, seems like 2 or 3 minutes of late afternoon time delay for the patient. Then they start wiggling, the blood pressure goes up and they ooze, and about twice a year someone who takes a pain pill at that time, gets nauseated. But I appreciate the nice fellow comment, and you are right, I learned from a pro. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA

Just giving you a hard time . Yes you learned from a good doctor BUT it takes years to get to that level.
Hopefully in a couple years you can be at the level of some of the top docs. The more the merrier I remember seeing a pic you posted of the staff eating Little Ceasers $5 pizza and being from Chicago that image was burned in my brain. YUCK!!!!! If you want the patient to sit real still I suggest a valuim, dilaudid, and Oxycontin cocktail. You could even play Yanni or Michael Bolton and they would be happy Plus you wouldnt need a tv for Caddyshack you could stand behind the techs and everytime they place a graft you could do your best Carl Spackler impression, "Its in the hole " |

I'll work on that impression. Better that than Bill Murray's cleaning of the golf balls in the opening scene while viewing those older lady golfers. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA

Dr. Lindsey,
Thanks for posting before, surgical, and healing photos. This patient seems to have healed very quickly and I'm sure is looking forward to his results. Keep working on your photo taking and presentation skills. I think you do some nice work - it would be great to see better quality examples of it :-). Bill
