was just wondering if this stuff causes an intial shedding......used it for the first time 2 weeks ago....waited a week then used again........seems like i'm experincing some shedding......?? is that typical?

Yes, ketoconazole can cause an initial hair shed. If you're using Nizoral shampoo, you may want to use it only a couple times a week. Nizoral can cause your hair and scalp to become dry.

I used Ketoconazole 1% and 2% for about a year without any other hairloss products and noticed minimal if any reduction of shedding. But then you might respond differently.

Furthermore the damn stuff practically scorched my scalp every time I used it, and it didn't even get rid of my dandruff!

From my experience if you're going to use it, stick to 2x/week.
