Amazing result. It looks like you shaved him. Somewhere I got the impression that you didn't shave. Is it a case by case decision?

The work looks totally sound, it's natural, and there is clearly an improvement -- but this doesn't *look* to be anywhere near on par w/ many of your others. IMO, this may very well be the way this guy is styling his hair -- it just looks extremely conservative, that he's styling his hair the same way he would pre-op to disguise baldness, and that he doesn't have the density to pull off a different look (which he prolly can...).

i agree with thana here. considering other remarkable results from Dr. Alexander this one is not "up there" by any stretch.

Dewayne,

Shaving is a case by case decison. If the patient does not want to be shaved, then we do not.

Probably because the guy lost his existing hair at the front. Was this patient on propecia doc?

Actually, the patient hasn't lost any hair in the widow's peak area. If you look in the immediate post op pictures you will see that we didn't transplant any grafts in the widow's peak because it goes so far down on his forehead that it would have looked funny. I think that's the reason why you all think that the surgery is so conservative because I didn't bring the hair line clear down to where his existing one was. If you could see a picture of his whole face, you would be able to understand what I mean. In person, it looks extremely good and the patient is very happy with his results.
The patient was on propecia, but quit and is going to start up again. I can tell he is going to need more surgeries in the future on top and in the back, so I wanted to save his donor area for those surgeries.
