1600 grafts

Edit:

This patient had a procedure of 3070 grafts in March of 2008. The photos presented represent the surgical photos after the first procedure. His goals were to cover as much of the balding area as possible. He will return for a second procedure to add density next month.

I don't get it....does he have ridiculously bad donor for some reason? It doesn't look like he has had past surgeries as he is practically a NW7. 1600 dispersed over a virtual NW7 area, including temples is an awfully low # of grafts. I hope his expectations are well in line.

Dr. Siporin,

This case to me leaves more questions than answers:

- Why post this patient's name in the one photo?! Shouldn't that be protected?

- Why no details whatsoever, such as age of patient, number of grafts in which zones, expectations and planning, etc.

- And... since no details were provided, why was 1600 grafts (which is not enough generally even for a hairline) used to provide coverage on a NW6/7?

As an aside, I do like the framing of the face.

Ditto. I echo the sentiments of the last two posts.
