Hmm i think i might start using dermmatch on the scar too. Does anybody know any facts about using concealer on the recipient area as i've herd all sorts over the years which mainly has been that you shouldn't as it can harm your new ht hair growth but when i think about it logically i think that it can't do that much damage can it?

Just to add hw said it's fine to use concealer after 2 weeks so it would appear to be a grey area that no one knows for sure about a bit like post op washing instructions.

Yeah, bonker I think you could totally benefit with some dermmatch on the scar... especially to offset the shock loss.

As for the recipient area you will hear different things from different docs. If you want to play it really safe, avoid dermmatch on the recipient area and use toppik/nanogen instead.

The dermmatch on my donor area did not keep the shocked hair from returning.... I only used dermmatch on the recipient area on an occassion for the first six months and I always washed it out at night. Eventually, I started using dermmatch again pretty much daily in the recipient area after the transplanted hair started growing in.

Keep in mind these pics I posted were about 2-3 weeks post-op from my 2nd procedure. You are even further along so I think it would look much better for you than it did for me here.

Of course, if you can wear a hat then take a day off from concealers.

Yes cheers mate i was thinking about using it on a weekend but if it's fine on the donor i will use it there this weekend. I'm 4 month nearly so i think it should be safe to use on the recipient area once a week but i'll try hold out as long as i can.

Yeah, you are so far out of the doldrums now that in another month you probably won't need any concealer on your scar. Good growing. It's about to get exciting for you.

Keep us updated bonker. I'm glad to know the options for concealing the donor scar, as shockloss in the donor area is my biggest concern!
