On another forum I mod on you get new posters on the H/T section full of the pro FUE propaganda who are quick to disregard strip as some old fashioned out dated treatment, where are they getting their info from? FUE only clinics....good bump

A contextual view is needed when weighing up FUE or strip, the question of what's best depends on individual circumstances.

And therein lies the point, PGP. This was no hack clinic. This was from a clinic with loads of experience. This is not a one-off either. We are getting more and more patients that had FUE first then realized that the promises (and they were promises) were not delivered.
this is probably a scary reality in alot of cases...just the other day i read a poster dishing out this gem to a 20 something looking to rebuild his hairline.."just get FUE, about 2000 should do it, and if your hairloss gets worse later you can just shave it down with no scar"....

sucks to hear it can from an experienced clinic...

agree with petchski, good bump vincehair, and updates would be nice

I know that you will never see FUE results like this from Bisanga or Feller. I think we should not discount FUE as great method, but rather acknowledge that 90% of the doctors performing it at this time are not skilled enough or they are not ethical and try to do more than 2000 grafts in one day and the yield turns to crap.
I am putting my HT off for 1-2 years and waiting to see what happens with FUE in this time.

here is a quote i read today from a very RECENT cole FUE patient on another forum... he has a decent head of hair now but acknowledges MEDS have played just as big, if not a bigger role, in his overall look.... this was his comment about his FUE scarring.

-------"there is definitely white dot scarring across the board. It is much worse than I thought it would be. I don't think I can go below a #1.5 guard. There is no way for me to take pictures and show you now, but I can definitely see it when I lift my hair and look up close. I definitely CAN NOT shave to zero grade. I think it will look horrific.

I am a little upset at the white dot scarring because on Dr Cole's website, it shows close up shots of people that had FUE/CIT with no visible scarring. I don't see how that's possible, since I literally have white dots all the way around my head."----------------

Its well known Cole uses bigger punches 1mm and up
I think 9 or less is the only way to go.
