Since FUE is less invasive tham FUT, you can expect, generally, shorter healing periods.

This healing period varies from person to person, so it is hard to say exactly, the healing time.

I should think, that safely, after 2 months you should be fine.

Depends what you mean by heal.

In my case, the back hair grew in a few weeks long enough to cover the donor. However, I have a ton of shockloss on the sides and the red dots are still visible at 1.5mos. So, I assume they would be visible on the back if my donor was shaved.

THanks just wanted to know. By healing time I meant. The gap scars, redness, swelling, etc.

The scar tissue in the donor area can take more than a year to fully develop. It will generally look best at around 3 months to 6 months when the pinkness fades and matches the surrounding scalp. But the scars are still forming under the surface and often turn out a lighter shade when fully developed.

The same holds true for FUE and Strip.

appreciate the replies. I guess it all can depend on the amount of FUE grafts one had done. 400 FUE & 1000+ recovery & healing time will not be the same. I would also really like to know if the white dots that FUE leaves post- op will minimize as well?
