Dr. Lindsey,

In the photos, it appears that you take the strip out all at once rather than in sections? Is this true? If so, is there a reason you don't take it out in sections?

I just put up the patients 4 week, 2day pic. Shows normal redness of a very fine scar line. His recipient area (to be posted when growth is occurring) is redder than this due to his golf habits out in the sunny May skies.

As to why not take it out in sections...occasionally we do, but I try to grasp only one point of the strip with instrumentation, ie the left "point" so that there won't be compression of several spots of roots by my forcep. Also, even with my loupes on, I can't transect the strip as accurately as the techs divide it up into cubes under the scope. Those are little points but I think they might help us.
