Ok, so I am finally going to embark upon the propecia route, after much research i believe the potential gains outweigh the risks for me, i dont want to grow new hair but would eventually like a shaved head with some hair on it.

But before i do, i would just like to know if anyone else has had a similar experience to me.

OK, here goes, i started losing my hair at 18, people commented which made me paranoid, but looking back it wasn't that bad at all, and i wish i was at that stage now lol. Anyways the hair loss was a slow and steady right up until i was 23. In the year and three months since then i have lost the same amount of hair than i did in the prior 5 years! especially on the crown that has thinned four times quicker than my temples. I have no real explanation for this, no new medication etc etc, the only thing that happened at the time i started to lose much more hair was my appendix burst and i had to have emergency surgery, since then my hair loss has been extremely aggressive. I don't think the two are linked, but wondered if anyone else has suffered slow hair loss, then a sudden sharp increase.

I seem to be going through quite a big shed of hair atm too well over 100 hairs a day, id say 100 in the morning bath lol.

thanks

I did until I started on Propecia, I stopped losing hair at about NW1.75ish. Wouldnt class myself as a NW2. I'm 33 near 34 now and havent lost hair since I was 25.

I foolishly went for an HT hoping to get my teenage hairline back when I was 22. It was unessasary, the Doc was just money hungry and unethical. Bastard. I'm pretty much a NW0 now, but the hairline has misangled hairs (not pluggy) so I'm gonna get this sorted and have a more appropriate, but stronger hairline.
