These are the operative day photos for a patient who received 2462 grafts. The grafts were placed all in the front 1/2. Patient budgetary concerns dictated a smaller scope of surgery than the recommended 3400 grafts.

Dr. Ross,

The work looks nice and clean. I hope you'll come back and update us on this patient as he comes back in for follow-ups.

Best wishes,

Bill

Very smart for this doctor to make the statement about the patient not opting for another 1,000 grafts that were recommended. Some readers mistakenly think a doctor isn't equipped to handle a larger session when needed. I've often contended that most of the time it's the patient not wanting a larger session.

However, I do believe there are times when a doc says "I think you need 2,000 grafts", when in fact the patient might could use 3500.

Right on Dewayne.

This is why we ask surgeons we're considering for recommendation to share as much variety as possible. That way our members can get a good feel for what the surgeon/clinic can accomplish.
