This middle-aged gentleman had frontal third loss - he had marked hairline/temple recession with a forelock.

On his surgical hair restoration session, approx. 400 multi-unit grafts (about 3-4 hairs/graft) were transplanted to augment areas of loss. Patient was advised additional procedure(s) will be needed as forelock recedes.

With the curly/kinky texture of his hair, he had a good cosmetic result with only one procedure and he is very happy. He can entertain more density "down the road" but he stated he would wait for more hair loss to occur.

Dr. Gencheff,

Thanks for posting.

From the photos provided, I agree that the patient looks great. I'vge heard that multi-unit grafts typically work well with very curly hair, especially in some African Americans.

If you have any additional photos showing close-ups of the hairline, this would be helpful.

Best wishes,

Bill
